Dr.Colić
Split meeting report, 2009.
On the beautful Adriatic coast, in the city of Split, once the center of the Roman empire during the reign of emperor Diocletianus, ISAPS educational activities were intense this autumn. In October 1-5, 2008 took place the 7th Croatian Congress for PRAS during which the first day was dedicated to aesthetic surgery in the form of 1-Day ISAPS Symposium. Course Director was the Secretary General Miodrag Colic who had a great pleasure to put together excellent Faculty: ISAPS President Foad Nahai, Janek Januszkiewicz, Ruth Graf, Giovanni Botti, Fabian Blaschke, Miodrag Colic and local hosts Zdravko Roje, Croatian NS Zdenko Stanec, Rado Zic and Zlatko Vlajcic. Our Editor-in-Chief Tom Biggs also took an active part in this meeting. This time the Symposium was dedicated to breast and body contouring surgery when the latest techniques were explained and discussed by the Faculty and later with the audience of more than 100 participants. Local host Zdravko Roje provided an excellent social part of the meeting which included great opening ceremony in the basements of the Diocletianus` Palace where we had an opportunity to admire architectonic wonders of the Roman Empire, Faculty dinner in the nice restaurant of the marina of Split and finally Gala dinner in the Villa Dalmatia, one of the exclusive residences of the former Yugoslav president Tito. General impressions of all participants were that the ISAPS Faculty provided first-class experience in their respective fields and excellent opportunity for interactive participation. Next Congress together with the ISAPS Symposium is scheduled for October 2010 in Dubrovnik.
