34. World Congress of the ICS

The XXXIV World Congress of the International College of Surgeons was held in October 6-10, 2004 in Quito, Ecuador. All surgical specialities were represented at this meeting, among them plastic surgery as well, with only one scientifis session. Asc. Prof. Miodrag Colic presented a lecture “Some current possibilities for breast reconstruction: TRAM and Latissimus Dorsi flap vs. Becker prothesis”. The Serbian delegation had five participants with respective presentations: ICS President for Serbia and Montenegro Dr. Petar Petricevic, Dr. Predrag Romic, Dr. Nebojsa Stankovic, Dr. Tomislav Randjelovic and Dr. Miodrag Colic. An exceptional social program was organized, from typical Ecuadorian night in the Middle of the World, place in the center of the world at the latitude 0, to the concerts in the oldest colonial church La Compañia and City Theatre “Teatro El Sucre”.
