Already traditional, the 7th Congress of the Balkan Association for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS) this year was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, September 14-17, in a newly opened hotel Bristol with wide congress space for about two hundred participants. Extraordinary host Assc. prof. dr Reuf Karabeg and his team provided refect organization and reach scientific program like at the european meetings. 15 members of the Serbian society was not enough regarding total number of SRBPRAS members, but even better than some countries like Romania and Albania who had no participants at all. Traditionally the guests from Croatia and Slovenia were present, but the most participants came from Turkey, together with their former president who is always present at our meetings, professor Ali Barutcu.

Like in almost all previous meetings, the first day was, after the live surgery, reserved for aesthetic surgery symposium of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) which was organized and hosted by the Secretary General of the Society Prof. dr Miodrag Colić. Most prestigious names in world aesthetic surgery were the Faculty of the Symposium like the father of liposuction Yves-Gerard Illouz from Paris, Ruth Graf from Brazil, ISAPS Educational Council Chair from Turkey Nazim Cerkes, IPRAS President Marita Eisenmann-Klein, President od Hellenic Society Apostolos Mandrekas, President of European Laser Society Vakis Kontoes, etc.

Social part of the Congress was really exceptional: Opening Ceremony in the National Theatre with the Bosnian President envoy and speeches with other important personalities, Faculty Dinner in the restaurant Park princeva, with the view of Sarajevo as from the airplane, Gala Dinner for all participants in Hotel Bosnia and, finally on the last day, a tour and dinner in Mostar with sightseeing of the Old Town. It was preliminary agreed that the next Congress should be in 2013 in Montenegro.
